From May to June 2026, Gurobi and OAT jointly hosted the 2026 Gurobi & OAT Technology Seminar in Nanjing, Hangzhou and Shenzhen.

Across the three sessions, nearly 200 technology leaders, optimization specialists and researchers from energy, consumer goods, high-tech manufacturing, supply chain, pharmaceuticals and finance explored advances in mathematical programming, deeper integration between AI and optimization, and enterprise optimization capability building.

As Gurobi’s strategic partner in China, OAT led the localized program design and practical technical sessions. Gurobi contributed its globally leading solver foundation, while OAT translated advanced optimization technology into deployable solutions through deep industry knowledge and implementation experience.

The Nanjing session focused on the core innovations in Gurobi 13. Dr Lang Jian of China Electric Power Research Institute connected solver advances with real power-grid dispatch applications, creating a clear bridge from research to implementation.

The Hangzhou session explored the convergence of AI and optimization. OAT Optimization Director Wu Zhengwei presented time-series forecasting models in the era of large models, joined by decision-makers from leading consumer, technology and supply-chain companies.

The Shenzhen finale featured practical experience from SF Express’s 2025 Franz Edelman finalist team and an academic perspective on optimization under uncertainty from Professor Chen Zhi of the Chinese University of Hong Kong Business School. Participants discussed production planning, capacity planning and scheduling optimization.

OAT specialists also provided a systematic review of the Gurobi architecture and advanced model-tuning techniques drawn from more than two decades of optimization delivery experience. One-to-one executive consultations remained fully booked throughout the tour.

Participants valued the combination of global technical depth and local implementation relevance. Gurobi and OAT will continue to deepen their collaboration and help Chinese enterprises build future-ready decision-intelligence capabilities.
