McDonald's China's first smart industrial park has been put into operation, and OAT has been awarded the Smart Logistics Innovation Award

Recently, McDonald's officially put into operation its first smart industrial park in China - McDonald's China Supply Chain (Hubei) Smart Industrial Park.

McDonald's China CEO Zhang Jiayin said, "The launch of the smart industrial park has two significant meanings for us. On the one hand, from the perspective of development strategy, it provides supply chain reserves for McDonald's expansion and layout in central and western China. On the other hand, from a strategic perspective, the smart industrial park drives the upgrading of McDonald's entire industrial chain, including smart decision-making and green supply chain. Smart supply chain not only requires rapid perception, but also the ability to respond and adjust quickly. McDonald's China Vice President of Supply Chain, Shi Yun, gave two examples. "For example, when we predict that we need to increase production, we can quickly communicate it to suppliers through digital systems to adjust as soon as possible. For example, if we find a small problem in a certain link of a factory, we will also quickly inspect and adjust it through the smart supply chain." This is the "flexibility and adjustability" of McDonald's China smart supply chain.

To cope with the complexity and challenges of the supply chain network, McDonald's China has been building a smart supply chain system since 2021, fully utilizing technologies such as digitization, automation, the Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence. This series of layouts aims to continuously improve the operational efficiency of the supply chain and ensure the safety and reliability of food quality. And the newly put into operation smart industrial park has become a carrier to showcase the smart supply chain to everyone.

At the same time, the McDonald's China Supply Chain (Hubei) Supplier Conference was held in Xiaogan, where over 300 McDonald's supplier CEOs gathered to discuss development plans together. The conference attracted widespread attention from the supply chain industry and related sectors. OAT, as a McDonald's smart supply chain partner, was invited to attend and awarded the "Smart Logistics Innovation Award".
